I'm an incoming UC Berkeley freshman double majoring in History and Political Economy, with plans of law school in the future.
Experience
In high school, I had: 35 ACT, 800 SAT II Literature, 780 SAT II US History, 12 AP classes, 4.4 GPA, multiple college courses, and was a National Merit Semifinalist for PSAT. I only took the ACT and SAT IIs once and self-studied for everything without the help of test-prep books or classes. I also have 3 years of experience with peer tutoring throughout high school, as well as occasional paid tutoring gigs on the side. My strengths are History, English, French, Art History, Environmental Science, and writing. I'm a great brainstormer, proofreader, and editor for essays; I love writing and have published over 20 short stories online. Also, I was on the advanced math track in high school (took AP Calculus BC in my junior year). While math is not my strongest suit, I can definitely tutor it at a proficient level and am more than happy to help with test-prep math and all levels up to Calculus 1/2. Finally, I'd love to help out with college essays and applications! College application season is extremely tough. Having gone through it myself just a few months ago, I have the knowledge to help you select schools, brainstorm/write essays, prep for interviews, etc. Some of the schools I got into include all of the UCs (including Regents for UCLA and UCSD), USC (Presidential Scholarship), NYU Presidential Honors program, Amherst College, and WashU in St.Louis. All in all, I consider myself a very well-rounded and efficient student who is passionate about teaching, and I want to do my best to help you succeed!
