Experience
I'm extremely passionate about English, and I love inspiring that same love or an understanding for it in others. There's nothing better than seeing someone come to an "Oh, I get it!" moment when analyzing a passage or reading a particularly challenging piece of work. My ultimate goal is to foster a deeper understanding of the English language in those I tutor, and I am willing to spend as much time and effort as it takes to make sure ideas and information are crystal clear. I've been tutoring students since high school, and during my junior year I spent time at ACI Institute as a part-time private tutor and SAT/English teacher. During my sophomore and junior years, I was also the News Editor for Arcadia High School's newspaper, The Apache Pow Wow. I took over as Editor-in-Chief my senior year. I received a 760/800 and a 740/800 on my SAT writing and reading, respectively, and a 5 on my AP English Language exam.
